هيئة الإمارات للمواصفات والمقاييس هي المرجع الوحيد المعتمد من قبل دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، لممارسة المسؤوليات الإدارية، عن طريق توحيد الإدارة والإشراف والتنسيق للمواصفات والمقاييس وضبط الجودة.
تأسست الهيئة كهيئة إتحادية مستقلة مالياً وإدارياً بموجب القانون الإتحادي رقم 28 لسنة 2001،
ويقوم برسم السياسة العامة للهيئة مجلس إدارة يرأسه معالي وزير البيئة والمياه، ويضم ممثلين عن الجهات الحكومية الاتحادية والمحلية ذات العلاقة
Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology Authority is the sole standards reference authorized by the United Arab Emirates, to exercise administrative responsibilities, by undertaking unified management, supervision and overall coordination of standardization, Metrology and Quality control.
ESMA was established as a financially and administratively independent federal institute under the Federal Law No. 28 of the year 2001.
The overall policy of ESMA is set by its Board of Directors, chaired by the Minister of Environment and Water, and includes representatives from relevant federal and local departments and institutes.
