Founded in 1986, Jonathan Bodansky set up one of the first sponsorship agencies in the UK, BSL (at that time known as Bodansky Sponsorship Management) to manage TDK’s sponsorship of Paul McCartney’s Worldwide Tour. It was a great start for a fledging agency and launched BSL into the music field which led to the management of multiple tours for international artists and clubbing projects.

With the turn of the century, BSL World moved into the sporting industry brokering the biggest soccer deal in English history between Liverpool Football Club and Carlsberg which remained in place for 22 years.

In 1996, BSL started to work with Toyota who until today remains one of its top clients and with the advent of their F1 sponsorship opened the doors to the F1 and motorsports world for BSL.

BSL first set foot in Abu Dhabi to manage the VIP logistics at the inaugural 2009 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for 15,000 VIPs per day. During that time the regional potential opportunities were recognised and BSL Middle East was born in 2010.
